In-store Repairs
We are proud of the diagnostic and repair services we offer in our retail unit.
The services include (but are not limited to):
Hardware issues: These are physical problems with the components of a device or system, such as the motherboard, CPU, memory, hard drive, graphics card, etc. To prevent these hardware problems from causing system crashes and failures, we either carry out professional physical repairs or we replace the faulty component.
Software issues: We resolve errors or glitches within the software or operating system (which are related to the programs, applications, and system software running on the hardware) by uninstalling malicious apps, and/or by applying software updates. We also specialise in virus removals on computers that have been compromised by emails and pop-up ads.
Data Recovery: Power failures, virus attacks, device damage or data that has been accidentally deleted or overwritten can cause data loss, which is particularly upsetting when the files that have disappeared are family photos, an important work project or university work. We will do what we can to retrieve data that has been lost or is no longer accessible on your PC or laptop. Data recovery can be challenging and requires us to use specialist equipment and skills to avoid further damage or for the data to be overwritten.
Clean up Services:
Software clean – by removing unnecessary files, fixing errors, etc, we can speed up the performance of your computer, free up storage space, and improve overall system stability.
Hardware clean – a physical clean of dust and dirt, which can build up on the internal components of a PC, will prevent lost of performance as well as a system breakdown.
System Reset – installation of Windows 11, free antivirus, and basic software.
Other services include:
Laptop Screen Replacements – we can replace cracked or faulty screens.
Data Transfer – we will back up the data from a working PC and transfer it across to another machine.
Pop your machine into us and we can book it in for repair. Our unit is open:
9.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday
10.00am – 2.00pm on Saturdays
Remote Support
Quick fixes can be resolved using our completely secure Remote Support service.
Using remote support software means that we can view and/or control your computer remotely, all the while chatting with you and explaining what we are doing. It works using a unique one-time code that you type into your computer to commence the session, and once the session has finished, the code immediately expires, meaning we are no longer able to access your PC.
The customer is given full control over remote sessions and can always observe what’s happening on their screen
We charge £30 for the first 30 minutes, then £12 for every 15 minutes thereafter.
Call Out Services
Unable to bring your PC to us?
Our call-out services operate from 9am – 1pm and from 3.30pm – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. We charge £40 for the first 30 minutes, then £12 for every further 15 minutes
We will visit you at home and endeavour to fix the issue there and then. Longer repairs however will need to be brought back to our retail unit (this saves you money and us all time!). Once repaired, we will bring your computer back to you.
We are also happy to arrange a home visit to set up a new PC, connecting it to the internet, printers, and any other associated peripherals. In addition, we would be happy to install your modem, set up or configure an ADSL (broadband) connection or help with any internet or e-mail problems you may be having.
Our NO CALL OUT FEE policy covers the first 10 miles from our offices in Wisbech. After this, we may charge a discretionary fee of up to £10 to cover additional labour costs.
